The administration is investigating how an “inadvertent number” was added to the private chat. Hughes said the group chat “appears to be authentic.”

Some Democrats have compared this incident to Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state. Congressman Jim Himes said, “You know what Hillary Clinton didn’t do? Post war plans on her email.”
Clinton herself responded with a brief post on X, saying, “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
