Ukraine and Slovakia PMs met in Uzhhorod, Slovakia to discuss energy and infrastructure

and Slovakia’s leaders of government met for a wide range of topics, including support of ‘s peace plan and future of gas transit via Ukraine.
Reports from correspondent at the scene show that on 7th October, Denys Shmyhal, Ukrainian Prime Minister and , his Slovak counterpart met near Uzhhorod.
The leaders will discuss security and infrastructure project cooperation. Shmyhal said that this is the second time he has met with the Slovakian government.
“We will discuss the roadmap, a plan of measures that we signed at our first meeting. This includes cooperation on infrastructure projects, , and energy safety,” Shmyhal wrote in .
Fico’s controversial remarks prompted the meeting. The Slovak PM has expressed his opposition to Ukraine joining NATO and reminded that all members of the must approve membership. Fico has said in the past that he wants to restore normal relations between and Slovakia after the war ends in Ukraine.
