This is a significant increase compared to 2023, when 405 samples including 244 domestic were codified.
In the first nine month of 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved more than 1,000 new samples of weapons and military equipment for use by the Defense Forces of the country. According to the First Deputy Minister for Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk over 600 of these sample are domestically made.
Ukraine continues to integrate various types of military gear, both from allied countries and locally produced, in the midst of the ongoing Russo Ukrainian war. The Defense Ministry has accelerated its codification process in order to officially approve the use these systems within the Armed Forces.
This is a significant increase from 2023 when 405 samples of weapons and military equipment were codified. Of these, 244 were of domestic production. Havryliuk stated that nearly half of the 600+ samples domestically approved this year have been processed in the third quarter.
Militarnyi reports that the newly approved equipment includes a wide range military assets including vehicles, unmanned aircraft systems, ammunitions, electronic warfare systems and communication devices.
