Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia, will continue consultations regarding the composition and candidate for the position as prime minister of the so-called technical government.
On October 8, a meeting will be held in the Orbelian palace with representatives of the “Unity – National Movement”. According to information from the press service of the party, Tina Bokuchava and other leaders will arrive for the audience with President Zurabishvili around 15:00.
As is well known, the consultations between the President and the representatives from the opposition parties about the composition of the “technical government” and the candidate for prime minister’s position began on October 7th. The President has already met with leaders of the “Coalition for Change”, who have expressed their “full support for this process”.
Information: The opposition forces have signed the “Georgian Charter”, which was drawn up by the President. By signing the Charter, signatories agree to fulfill a number obligations and the “conditions” written in the Charter. If these conditions are met, early parliamentary election will be held under fair and free conditions. The President of Georgia will present a so-called technical administration that will be responsible for implementing this action plan.
Salome Zurabishvili said that she had already chosen a candidate to fill the position of prime minister who “has a high level of public confidence”.
