**Parliament Investigates Government Activities**
The Chairperson of the Temporary Investigative Commission, Tea Tsulukiani, has spoken out against criticism from some people and politicians. She said that the commission is investigating the actions of top officials during a previous government’s time in power.
The commission is looking into the decisions made by President Saakashvili and other high-ranking officials back then. They have already found out that these officials did not follow a military plan, but instead made decisions based on politics. This meant they carried out military operations without knowing what to do or where to go.
Tsulukiani repeated that the commission is not investigating soldiers, but rather the actions of politicians during that time. She said that President Saakashvili and others, including Davit Kezerashvili and Vano Merabishvili, did not have a military plan when they went to war in August 2008.
**Concern for Civilians**
Tsulukiani also mentioned civilians who were affected by the war. The commission is trying to figure out if these officials failed to warn people or abandoned them on purpose. She said that some of the officials even brought in soldiers to calm down the population, but still left many people behind.
The commission wants to get to the bottom of this and find out what really happened. Tsulukiani urged everyone to be patient and let the investigation continue.
