Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgia’s Prime Minister, gave a speech at the party’s presentation of its election program. He said that the ruling party has managed to increase the budget to 28 billion GEL in 2024 and that it will continue to rise until it reaches $50 billion GEL in 2028.
In 2012, the Georgian Budget was 8.5 billion GEL. Kobakhidze stated that despite challenges, the budget was increased to 28 billion GEL.
The PM also addressed pressing topics such as unemployment and highlighted the success of the party in reducing it.
“In 2012, unemployment was 26.7%. We reduced it to 13.75%. He said that the goal was to lower the rate to 4% in 2028, which is below the European average of 6.5%.
Kobakhidze mentioned the party’s aim to create at least 200,000 new jobs by 2028.
