According to Ana Natsvlishvili one of the leaders behind “Strong Georgia”, the “Georgian Dream“, created the harshest realities in the country. As a result, Georgia is deprived the young generation.
Natsvlishvili stated at the briefing that the state admitted the record number of Georgian children who are excluded from the education process.
“I want draw attention to the worst possible situation that the “Georgian Dream”, has created in Georgia, and as a consequence of this, Georgia is empty of families and people. The most alarming thing is that the children and youth who are supposed create the future of this country are being deprived. The state admitted that there are a record number children who have left the educational system in Georgia. In 2021-2022, the number of children who dropped out was 8846. In 2022-2023, this number doubled, to 14911. We are losing Georgians. It is alarming to lose the next generation of Georgian citizens, whose families have been forced to leave the country and take their children along with them because of the harsh realities in the nation,” said Natsvilishvili.
According to her, the “Georgian Dream”, sacrificed children to poverty. Ana Natsvlishvili claims that every fifth child lives in poverty in Georgia.
“Dozens if not hundreds of children in Georgia lack access to basic things like books, drawing instruments and others. “Despite spending millions of GEL from the budget, the corruption government hasn’t been able for years to make the children go to school, they are sent elsewhere,” said Natsvilishvili.
