Russia Attacks Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine
Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine on April 2. The attack killed four people and injured ten others.
The governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Serhii Lysak, said that apartment buildings were damaged and a fire broke out at the scene. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
A young boy, eight years old, was among those hurt in the attack. He is being treated in hospital with moderate injuries.
Kryvyi Rih has been hit by Russian missiles before. The city is near the front line of fighting between Russia and Ukraine.
Despite US efforts to negotiate a ceasefire, Russia has continued to launch missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities. These attacks have targeted civilian areas, which Ukraine says shows that Russia is not serious about peace.
Russia rejected a 30-day ceasefire agreement reached by the US and Ukraine last month. Instead, it agreed to a limited truce on attacks against energy infrastructure and in the Black Sea.
