Six Russian bombs hit Kharkiv Oblast, including one that struck a densely-populated residential area of the city.
UPD. According to Oleg Simiegubov of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration the number of wounded has increased to thirty. The victims were a woman aged 69 and a man aged 73 who were walking by the lake when the Russian strike occurred.
Two elderly civilians were killed in an airstrike by the Russians on Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi District, the area nearest the Russian border. Oleh Syniehubov reported that seven others were injured.
Kharkiv, located just 30 kilometers away from Russia, is bombarded daily with low-precision guided weapons. This shows the threat to civilian areas of Ukraine and the need for improved air defense capabilities in border regions.
