Six people were injured in the attack. The oldest woman injured is 83, and the oldest man is also 73.
Vadym Fillashkin, the head of the regional army administration, reported that a Russian airstrike in Kostiantynivka – a city on a frontline in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast – has resulted in one death and six injuries. He said that three KAB-250-guided bombs were used.
Kostiantynivka is located in the Ukrainian controlled part of Donetsk oblast and is frequently targeted by Russian airstrikes. This is in line with Russia‘s strategy to advance through Donetsk’s key cities. The Russian plan seems to involve a gradual advance through Chasiv Yar and Kostiantynivka. Druzhkivka is also on the list. Sloviansk and Kramatorsk are also included.
Filashkin posted on Telegram that “two bombs struck high-rise buildings and one struck an education institution.”
The National Police confirmed the death of a woman aged 77 in this attack. Three women and three men ranging in age from 83 to 77 are among the injured. A 45-year old man is in critical health with shrapnel injuries to his neck, back, and head.
The strike caused extensive damage to the civilian infrastructure. At least 30 objects were affected, including 17 apartment blocks, three schools, 7 vehicles, and 3 gas pipelines.
