According to Kaladze the polarization has been sparked by foreign partners who criticize government due to the law on the “transparency” of foreign influence.
“The Constitutional Court’s decision was clear. It is hard to imagine how transparency could be bad. On the other, they tell us it is bad for them because they are concerned about their finances. It should be made clear who is responsible for the funding and what it is spent on. This is not done because they, their financing, fuel polarization.
Remember that they told you that the government needed to take steps to reduce polarization? Yes sir, we’re ready to do anything to achieve that. They tell us that, but on the other hand they finance extremism, revolution, traditions, and the insulting values which are dear to all Georgians, leading to conflict and strife between people. Kaladze stated that everything should be made clear. An ordinary citizen should know who finances, say, insulting the Church, who finances patriarchal swearing, or who finances the revolutionary scenario.
