Construction cost index rose by 17.3 percent in February 2022 compared to February 20,23.
According to GEOSTAT the main reason for the change in December 2023 in the construction index compared to previous month was a 17.4 % increase in the average nominal monthly salary of employees hired in construction. The increase in construction cost index in February 2022 was mainly caused by a 52.0% increase in average monthly nominal salaries of employees hired in construction and a 7.5% increase in construction materials prices.
