Maj-Gen Freuding has announced that Germany will send to Ukraine two air defense systems as well as dozens of vehicles, tanks and large quantities artillery shells by the end of the year.
According to Major General Christian Freuding who heads the Ukraine Special Task Force in the German Defense Ministry, Germany delivered two IRIS T anti-aircraft system to Ukraine last weekend. In an interview published by RND on 9 October, Freuding discussed the ongoing Russo Ukrainian war and Germany’s continuing support for Kyiv.
These deliveries come at a time when Ukraine continues to seek enhanced capabilities for air defense in response to the intensifying Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
