Irakli Gharibshvili is the chairman of ““. He declared that Georgia remains in danger of war. Gharibashvili, in addressing the legacy of the August 8th war, criticised the former government. He stated, “The war of August 8, , was the biggest crime and betrayal that they committed.” He accused them of dragging their country into conflict which resulted “in the deaths of our brave soldiers, the occupation and displacement of thousands of refugees.”
Gharibashvili reaffirmed his warning that Georgia still faces the risk of war. “The internal and foreign enemies of the country are very well aware that the only way they can achieve their goal is by bringing an agency submissive of foreign interests into power…and then, of course to involve Georgia in war.”
He assured the audience, however, that “Georgian Dream”, will continue to protect this country. “Our leader, Bidzina, and “Georgian Dream”, are the guarantee of avoiding such a situation, neutralizing risks, maintaining peace and security in the country.
