Vladimir Putin extends visa free travel for Georgian citizens

According to , Russian President signed a that extended the -free travel privileges for . The decree, which was signed on 10 October, allows Georgian citizens to stay in longer than 90 days, including students or those who are arriving for work.
Previously, only certain categories Georgian citizens were allowed to stay in Russia for an extended period of time. Workers and students had restrictions. The extension is effective immediately from the date of signature.
This follows the ‘s decision to lift visa requirements in the spring 2023 for Georgian citizens. This will facilitate entry for all , but excludes workers and students until now from the longer stay permitted by this new order.
