GGRC hosts 5th International Conference on Infertility.

The Georgian- Reproductive Center, in with the , Obstetricians, and Urologists, organized the 5th International Scientific-Practical Conference, which focused on the topic of “Infertility 35+”. The event was supported by the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Social of Georgia and welcomed internationally recognized experts from USA, Canada, , Italy, and other countries.

The primary topics were the latest advances in assisted reproduction technologies, the importance of genetic research and fertility preservation for cancer patients. Edgar Mocanu, the of the International Federation of Fertility and Professor Andrea . Genazzani, from the International Academy of Human Reproduction were among the distinguished guests who engaged in a discussion on the exceptional developments in this field.
The collaboration between fertility experts from Georgia and , Armenia and Italy was a highlight of the conference. It highlighted the importance of international cooperation when addressing infertility problems, especially in oncology patients. The attendees learned about the latest breakthroughs in genetic diseases diagnosis and embryo screening.
The scientific papers presented at the event will be published by ‘Medical Times,’ a peer-reviewed journal operated by the GGRC that sheds light on the medical research. A digital edition is also being launched for the first time.
The participation of Georgian doctors and researchers was highly encouraged. Attendance at the event demonstrated the institution’s commitment towards promoting reproductive medicine within the country.

GGRC has also changes to its leadership in line with the conference’s achievements. Dr. Shamugia is the new Deputy Director of the Clinical Division. She is a gynecologist with 25 years’ experience. Shamugia is a member of ESHRE and has published more than 40 scientific papers. She also co-authored ‘Standard of Reproductive Technologies and Artificial Fertilization : Clinical Recommendations and Treatment Protocol. This addition will enhance GGRC’s commitment to excellence in reproductive health.
