The Ministry of Economy of Georgia reported that “Wizz Air“, a low-cost airline, is considering adding new routes to European routes from the Kutaisi International Airport.
Mariam Kvrivishvili met with representatives of the top management from the Hungarian airline Wizz Air who are visiting Georgia for two days at the invitation of Georgia.
The representatives of Wizz Air visited both the renovated Kutaisi International Airport and the ongoing construction of the railway station located near the Kutaisi International Airport. This project is expected to be completed in the very near future.
“We discussed adding new routes from Kutaisi International Airport into Europe,” stated Mariam Kvrivishvili. She added that it will have a positive impact on the tourism growth in our country.
