“This, ofcourse, made it easier to conduct defensive operations,” said he.
The Kyiv Independent was unable to verify the claims.
The Russian offensive continues in Ukraine’s eastern part, despite the fact that Ukrainian forces continue to hold Russian territories in Kursk Oblast. The Ukrainian military has been forced to withdraw from Vuhledar in the south Donetsk oblast, which has resisted Russian attacks for over two years.
Heavy battles continue in Chasiv Yar, Toretsk and Donetsk Oblast. Russian troops are closing on Pokrovsk’s key logistics hub.
