Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was currently presenting its victory plan details to Western partners during a press conference on 11 October. He said the plan is intended to bring about a ‘just peace.’ In late September, Zelenskyy toured the US, meeting with key figures such as Biden, Harris and Trump and presenting the victory plan. The five-point plan includes, according to reports, an invitation for Ukraine’s membership in NATO and a commitment of a continuous supply of advanced weapons.
“If we implement our victory plan in cooperation with our partners, Russia won’t be able to carry on this war and be forced into peace. This is the essence the victory plan”, Zelenskyy stated during the press conference with Italian PM.
The president emphasized that the top priorities are “strengthening Ukraine’s position and creating conditions for honest diplomacy.”Zelenskyy’s statements come amid recent media reports suggesting he might be open to a ceasefire without acknowledging territorial losses. The reports claimed that Zelenskyy had also sought assurances from Italy France and Germany regarding Ukraine’s rapid accession to the European Union. Dmytro Litvyn was the Ukrainian president‘s advisor for communications. He refuted the claims made by Italian media. According to Lytvyn the victory plan will be presented soon to the United Kingdom France Italy and Germany as a tool to progress the implementation of Peace Formula. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was scheduled to unveil his “victory” plan during the next Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting, scheduled for 12th October in Germany. This meeting, also known as the Ramstein Meeting, was supposed to be the first at the leader-level. However, Hurricane Milton in Florida forced US President Joe Biden to cancel his trip to Germany to attend the Ramstein Meeting. Ukraine confirmed the postponement of the meeting.
