In the resolution adopted by the European Court of Human Rights on October 11, the first record of the occupation of Abkhazia, and Tskhinvali region by Russia was made. According to the 2021-2024 judgments of the European Court of Human Rights the resolution speaks about the responsibility of Russia, as an effective controlling force, for the occupation of Abkhazia, Tskhinvali and regions, and gross violations of the human rights.

The information released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that “According to the adopted Resolution, the UN Human Rights Council instructs UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in order to submit oral and writing reports regarding the implementation of this resolution at the next 58th and the 59th sessions of Council”.
