Russia continues to launch deliberate daily air strikes on residential areas, in an attempt to terrorize civilians while damaging civilian infrastructure. Every night, the Russian forces launch dozens “kamikaze”, long-range drones from the Shahed family. They also often launch several missiles at the same time. The Russians have also intensified their guided bomb attacks, which target residential neighborhoods in Ukrainian cities.
According to the Air Force, Russian forces launched 2 Iskander M ballistic missiles targeting Poltava oblast and Odesa oblast from Russia’s Kursk Oblast. Two Kh-59 guided aircraft missiles were also fired from the airspace in Kursk Oblast at Chernihiv oblast and Sumy oblast.
The main component of the attack was 68 “attack drones” reportedly launched by Kursk and Orel, Russia. Ukrainian air defenses including anti-aircraft weapons troops, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups from the Air Force and Defense Forces were deployed to counter the attack.
