Ukrainian forces continue to maintain control on the Kharkiv front, where fighting continues to be intense. In the latest battles over 95 Russians were killed or injured, as Ukraine‘s army effectively dismantled Russian offensive capabilities.
According to the “Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group”, the situation on the Kharkiv Front remains challenging, but Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold ground against Russian invaders.
The Russian offensive began in Kharkiv Oblast on 10 May. However, the offensive stalled over the next few months. In August, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces were slowly pushing Russian troops from the region.
“The operational situation at the Kharkiv Front has not changed significantly and remains difficult.” Ukraine’s Defense Forces are continuing to resist the pressure from Russian occupation troops. The Ukrainian military reported that two combat engagements occurred near Tykhe in the last day.
The “Kharkiv’ operational-tactical unit claimed that Ukrainian forces neutralized 95 occupants and destroyed Russian weapons and equipment in response to enemy actions.
In the last 24 hour, Ukrainian troops also damaged 18 units Russian military equipment as well as 50 shelters for personnel and one ammunition depot.
The “Kharkiv Group” emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing to control the situation, and are fulfilling their task of repelling and restraining Russia’s armed aggression against Kharkiv Oblast.
