“The goal is to create hysteria in the public and confuse them, to influence the elections illegally, and to influence the voters‘ will,” Papuashvili said. As for the methods used, the OSCE/ODIHR interim report, which was a disappointment for the opposition on Monday, has led to a deliberate attempt to create news noise and an information field in order to create a perception among observers that something is happening in Georgia. This could be in the form administrative resources, violence, or something similar.
According to the State Security Service‘s information, groups associated with political circles plan to distribute false audio and video recordings in the days leading up to the upcoming parliamentary election in Georgia. These recordings will be created using artificial intelligence and other modern technology.
