SUS is a new channel that has been created to spread propaganda and lies. “Imedi” or “Post TV” are no longer available to do so. They probably believe that spreading misinformation under the State Security Service will make people fearful. Fear has been a thing of the past for many years, and is a sign that they will lose on October 26. All of this is to try and rig the election. In the next 10 to 14 days, we will see a lot of these intimidation tools. But we don’t need to worry because we have seen this movie before. We all remember what happened when Saakashvili tried the same thing. It’s no longer dangerous for State Security Service, which has become a “dream”, propaganda television. We should all vote and not wear color 41,” said Mezvrishvili.
In the interest of state security and peaceful coexistence, we would like inform the public that groups associated with political circles are planning, according to information received, to distribute false video and audio recordings, installed using artificial intelligence and other technologies, in the days leading up to the upcoming parliamentary election in Georgia.
According to the State Security Service “the fake recordings mentioned will use the voices of representatives of the Georgian Government. Spreading false information has the purpose of provoking a confrontation between branches of government, as well to bring down the feud that exists between the Orthodox church and the government. It also aims to worsen relations between the Georgian government and its Western partners. “The disseminators present the fake records that they created as information leaked by the State Security Service, and assume that this action will, on one hand, discredit and create dissonance among the government branches. The main purpose of this provocation is to create and stir up a protest charge in order to create focal points of destabilization within the country that will be used for political reasons.
In a statement, the State Security Service said that “we are closely monitoring the activities of these groups and if there is any violation of law, we will take appropriate measures according to the laws”.
