ISET: Khachapuri Index rises to 6.48 GEL

The International School of Economics (ISET) at TSU reported the September . It noted that the price for preparing a standard Imeretian Khachapuri had reached 6.48 GEL. This is a 13% increase compared to data from . The main reason for the change was a 22% rise in cheese prices from July to September.

The report also shows that khachapuri, at 7.04 GEL is the most expensive food in Tbilisi. This is 8.5% more than the national average. is the cheapest, at 6.18 GEL. The report attributes this to seasonal variations, behavior and lower demand for famous Georgian cuisine like khachapuri, in seaside towns like Batumi.
