Abu Dhabi (UAE), 16 October 2024. The 14th edition of the AIM Congress explores ground-breaking innovations in three portfolios: Global Manufacturing and Future Cities. This focus reflects a growing global interest in transforming economies and achieving digital connectivity between humans, machines and systems.
The Global Manufacturing Portfolio themed “From 4.0 – 5.0: Leveraging industry & Bringing advanced Factories to life” aims to transform the manufacturing ecosystem by enhancing product innovations, efficiency and sustainability. It also tackles modern changes such as supply disruptions, global crises, and boosts efficiency, accelerating investments in innovative technologies and bringing advanced factory to life.
The Future Cities portfolio titled “Creating Cities of Tomorrow – A hub for global wealth, social cohesion and economic opportunity through Megacities and International Cooperation” will prioritize green infrastructure, smart transport, and mixed use development, focusing on walkability and public spaces that are accessible to all citizens, in order to create resilient, sustainable urban environments which address social, economic and environmental challenges, while fostering inclusive and sustainable growth for everyone. The UN has projected that 66% of global population will be living in cities by 2050. Urban areas are becoming vibrant zones of health and innovation.
The Digital Economy Portfolio, themed “Embracing Digital Transformation: An Ecosystem of Interdependent Digital Technologies for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, will highlight the crucial role digital technologies play in transforming Economies by creating new opportunities and breaking geographical barriers and improving interactions between individuals and businesses. Our goal is to support a global transition to a digitally enabled economy, promoting an inclusive, sustainable, and secure digital world.
