The Ukrainian Southern Defense Forces found and destroyed a Russian military training facility, the unit announced on social media Oct. 15 by publishing footage of the strike.
The military posted on Facebook that there were 20 soldiers in the vicinity at the time of attack.
The statement did no specify the exact location or weaponry used. It also did not mention the number of casualties.
The video accompanying this article shows drone footage of a first explosion at the facility, followed by additional blasts in the surrounding area that resemble the effect of cluster bombs.
Since last year, the U.S. has supplied Ukraine with cluster bombs. These are weapons that spray a number bomblets over a larger area.
In the south of Ukraine, there has been a resurgence in hostilities as Russian forces have launched new attacks in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Kherson oblast.
