According to him, the State Security Service would be abolished after they won the elections.
“The State Security Service in Georgia, is the source of lawlessness and unrestrained, politically motivated attacks. All filth. I tell the head State Security Service that your job will be cancelled as soon as we are elected, because we will finally put the “Kagebeshniks” in Georgia behind us. I promise that State Security Service in Georgia will eventually disappear and never exist again. All these narratives, as far as information is concerned are false. Just like the anatomy of State Security Service, they are also false.
I think that the public has exposed the bait many times in the past. It’s because there will be State Security Service. The prime minister, or whoever, I say get used to failing! The people win! Georgia will join the European Union! In this country, there will never be room for corrupt officials. We will quickly move to Europe!” Giorgi Vashadze said.
State Security Service released a statement that stated “accordingly to the information we received, groups associated with political circles are planning, in the days leading up to the upcoming parliamentary election in Georgia, to distribute false video and audio recordings, installed using artificial intelligence and other technologies.
“According to State Security Service,” the fake recordings mentioned will use the voices of representatives of the Georgian Government. Spreading false information has the purpose of provoking a confrontation between branches of government, bringing down the feud between government and Orthodox Church, and worsening the relationship between government and Western partners.
