Despite mounting evidence of the crimes, international organizations have remained silent and no legal action has been taken against those responsible.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights said on social media that Ukraine has proof of more than a hundred cases where Ukrainian soldiers were executed by Russian forces after they surrendered.
Lubinets claimed that the deliberate terror policy of Russia against Ukrainians includes the execution of Ukrainian soldiers. Yet, international organizations turn a blind-eye to these actions.
The Ukrainian Ombudsman stressed that there have been no public or legal responses to these events – there are still not arrest warrants for Russian War Criminals. The official stated that Ukrainian law enforcement agencies were doing everything they could to document these crimes.
Tatyana Moskalkova, the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights and Justice, has received official materials about the executions from Lubinets.
“It is clear that we can’t expect a response from Russia in regards to the violations of the Geneva Conventions. My task is to document these factual statements.” “We are doing all we can to make sure the international community is aware of these violations,” he said.
Yaroslav Yurchyshyn revealed earlier that Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Rosahchyna had died in Russian captivity. She had been missing from 2023.
According to Russian authorities, her death occurred during a transfer of a Taganrog detention facility to a Moscow prison.
Yurchyshyn stated that Russia has already murdered 12 civilian journalists, and is holding many others hostage.
