I know many of you vote in the country where you live. In his address to emigrants, Mikheil Sakaashvili urges them to contact their relatives in Georgia to ask them to not vote for the Russification and instead to support pro-European forces.
According to Mikheil Sakaashvili’s address, if the “Georgian Dream”, wins the elections, the visas for the European Union will not be valid and the country will no longer be part of the “Swift Transfer” system. This means that emigrants won’t be able make remittances. “Appeal for Georgian emigration!” Welcome to Russian bars.
I understand what it is to be homesick. Three years ago, I was drawn to Georgia by my longing for home. I was also drawn by the desire for Georgia to be saved. Now is the time to act. We must all work together to save Georgia. After all, everyone urged the Georgians not to sell their own future during the elections.
You know that, if Ivanishvili leaves with a car, we’ll be removed from the “Swift Transfer” system and our visa-free travel will be cancelled. This means that you won’t be able transfer money, and you will have difficulty moving back and forth.
We will also lose our homeland. I know many of you vote in the countries you live in. It is equally important to call your family members in Georgia to ask them to support pro-European forces and not vote for the Russification.
I want to remind you that more people left Georgia after the Rose Revolution than returned. My batch number -5 is mostly an emigrant’s return number. We can turn things around quickly and create a $1 Billion fund to assist immigrants in returning.
After winning the election, we will create a Ministry of Return of Emigrants. We will instruct the leaders of our new government to visit places of resettlement of migrants and discuss the creation of conditions for the return of these migrants. We will bring people back into the country. i.e. We will stop the Georgian demographic catastrophe and achieve family unity!
