Tinatin Rukhadze, a musician, has been appointed the new Minister of Culture and Sports. Irakli Kobakhidze presented her to this post at a briefing in the government administration.
Since 1989, she has been the deputy director of Young Creatora Union of Georgia and the director of Tbilisi Concertino, a chamber orchestra. She was also executive director of “Mana”, then general producer of “Tibisi TV”, as well as the head of office of the Council of Producers of Satellite Radio Broadcasting, and producer. She was also deputy director of the “Melodia Art” LLC and the general producer. She was the general director of Vaso Aashidze Music Drama Theater in Tbilisi and the councilor for Tbilisi Municipality on matters of education and cultural. She was the director of National Palace of Pupils and Youth from 2016 to today,” Kobakhidze said.
Thea Tsulukiani will be replaced by Rukhadze at this position.
Shalva Gogoladze will be the first deputy minister in charge of sports.
Tea Tsulukiani was on the Georgian Dream electoral list, and that is why she resigned as Minister of Culture on 26 September. Tsulukiani was in this position from March 2021.
