In letter addressed to President Biden by Congressman Mike Turner, he called a “immediate briefing” at the White House on reports of North Korean involvement in Russia’s against Ukraine.
Mike Turner, the of the House Intelligence Committee emphasized that the United States should “make any possible involvement of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine a redline”.
Signed earlier this year, the “strategic ” has led to increased military cooperation between Russia & North Korea. If confirmed, it would be North Korea’s very first direct military action in Europe. This could have a major impact on global diplomatic dynamics. Since Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine in the year 2022, North Korea is increasingly supporting Russia by providing weapons, especially shells, missiles, as well as diplomatic backing.
“North Korean troops attacking Ukraine on Russian territory or entering territory must be a redline for the United States of and NATO.” Turner wrote to President Joe Biden in a letter that your administration must make this absolutely clear and unambiguous.
