According to regional governor Ivan Fedorov, at least 10 people were injured in an aerial bombing attack on central Zaporizhzhia that evening on Oct. 19.

Fedorov, via his Telegram channel, added that two girls, aged 9 and 13, were among the injured and receiving urgent medical treatment.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in the southeast of Ukraine, remains a frequent Russian target. It is one of four oblasts that Russia claims to have annexed in September 2022. However, Ukrainian forces still control a third of it, including the regional capitol.

On Sept. 23, Russian troops used highly destructive guided aerial weapons against Zaporizhzhia. Prior to that, the city had only been targeted with drones and missiles.
