NYT: NATO changes its defense strategy

The New York Times reports that the North Treaty Organization has “spared no effort” to become a military capable of waging a war again, following ‘s invasion.
The alliance will change its defense strategy in particular. In the past it was thought that in the case of a the temporary occupation of territory by the members of alliance was acceptable, until additional forces arrived.
Nevertheless, after the crimes committed in by Russian , Eastern are not willing to risk falling into Russian occupation.
The new defense strategy aims to make forces “visible” in Russia and demonstrate to that the alliance can resist the first stage of an possible war.
NATO plans to spend more on defense and deploy more troops near Russia’s border in order to increase “visibility”.
