Salome Samadashvili has left the United National Movement.
“The UNM’s position is absurd and infantile. We will not sign the document until Melia has been released. But others will sign it. Melia and Rurua are then freed, and we will call those that signed it traitors. They will still enter Parliament after Melia is released. Let me just say it’s awkward. I’m not sprinkling mud. “I have no place in this misunderstanding,” Samadashvili wrote on her Facebook page.
Samadashvili signed independently the document proposed by Charles Michel at the Orbeliani Palace. She believes the National Movement made an error by not signing the documents.
“I know that the failure to sign an agreement today was in the interest of only one country, Russia. I am sorry, but I can’t share anyone else’s opinion. What was Mikheil‘s position regarding signing or not? I think that the party made a strategic mistake. “I have said this many times but we couldn’t delay making decisions,” Samadashvili stated.
