A group of Georgian officials, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, recently visited Hong Kong. The delegation included President of the Chamber of Commerce Giorgi Pertaia and of Georgia China Paata Kalandadze.

During their visit, the Georgians important meetings with officials in Hong Kong. These included Chief Secretary for Eric Chan Kwok, Secretary for Transport and Logistics Lam Sai-hung, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Algernon Yau Ying, Secretary for Culture, and Tourism Kevin Yeung, and Deputy Executive Director of Trade Development Council Patrick Lau.

**Business Opportunities**

The Georgian delegation presented information about investment opportunities in Georgia. They highlighted areas such as transport and logistics, innovation, tourism, and trade. Both sides discussed the benefits of a 2019 with Hong Kong and a decision to grant visa-free travel to Georgian citizens from September 2024.

**Further Cooperation Planned**

The two sides agreed to continue working together on deepening their cooperation. They also decided to hold regular visits and maintain close ties. As part of their visit, the Georgians took part in an Asian logistics conference and met with from various transport, logistics, and trade companies.
