Londa Toloraia is questioned about possible election fraud by the magistrate at the Tbilisi City Court.
Toloraia didn’t comment to the media prior to entering the survey.
The monitoring mission had requested that the legal responsibility of Giorgi Kaandarishvili (Chairman of the Central Election Commission), Giorgi Sharabidze (his deputy), and Giorgi Javakhishvili (CEC Secretary) be raised.
Londa Toloraia stated that the persons mentioned played a key role in the large-scale plan of falsification by “Georgian Dream”, of the October 26, parliamentary elections.
According to her, in particular, the CEC failed to fulfill its promise that the quality of the ballot on election day would ensure the secrecy. Toloraia also claimed that the ballots intended for the election were printed on thin paper which allowed the people present at the electronic polling stations in all the provinces to identify the choices made by the voters. According to her, this decision/action by the CEC during the election allowed the ruling party a large-scale control of the will of voters, both by members of the CEC and by using video cameras near the voting booths or vote counting machines.
