**Earthquake Hits Georgia**
An earthquake happened in Georgia. However, it was not a local event.
The place where the earth began to shake is in Armenia. This area is very close to the border with Georgia. In fact, it’s only 45 kilometers away from the Georgian state border.
The scientists at the Institute of Earth Sciences and the National Seismic Monitoring Center said that the earthquake had a strength of 5.1 on the Richter scale. This means that it was not extremely strong, but still a significant event.
The people living in Georgia felt the quake as well.
