Accor signs a new ibis in Tbilisi, expanding its footprint in Georgia

Accor, a leading hospitality group in the , announced that it had signed a cooperation agreement, with LLC based in Georgia. The agreement is for the opening of a new ibis at Tbilisi by 2024.
“We are pleased to announce the signing a new hotel under the ibis brand, in one of Georgia’s most important hubs – Tbilisi International Airport. This airport welcomes over 3 million people each year. We are confident that this new opening will be a great find for tourists, guests and business travelers as well as transit passengers. The hotel’s comfortable rooms and mobile check-in will make their stopover or journey more enjoyable.
The new ibis is located in a brand new development, 15 km from the capital and only a few minutes walk from Tbilisi International Airport. The railway and bus station are both within walking distance. The hotel’s convenient position will allow guests to easily reach the center of Tbilisi. This city is famous for its distinctive architecture that embodies eclectic mix medieval, neoclassical and art nouveau buildings. Georgia is known for its unique culinary traditions. It is also a great travel destination, and one of the oldest wine regions of the world. Wine-making dates back to 8000 BC. National Geographic Travel’s new guidebook, published in 2022, includes Tbilisi as one of the 100 Cities to Visit.
The involvement of a French architect who has won awards, as well as a leading local team of architects, , will be regarded as a significant signature for the project. Clement Blanchet is a French architect who says that this project marks the future development for the Tbilisi Airport City area.
The hotel will feature comfortable rooms that are designed according to the global modern design concept ibis brand-Plaza. The open-air lobby is dominated by a central bar, which invites guests to mingle and gather around. The Plaza concept guestrooms continue the theme of casual, warm living with edgy metal and wood features. Each room has everything guests need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, including an innovative Sweet Bed that will ensure a good night’s rest. The hotel offers early and late breakfasts in the ibis Kitchen and free Wi-Fi.
The building will include a new ibis hotel, a modern business centre, meeting rooms and a wine store, which will showcase selected collections of well-known producers as a tribute and tribute to tradition and heritage.
The opening of a new ibis at Tbilisi Airport in 2024 is planned.
