**Christmas Tree to be Lit in Tbilisi**
The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, has announced that the main Christmas tree will be lit on Saturday, December 14. This is part of the city’s preparations for the holiday season.
According to Kaladze, festive lights will be turned on gradually throughout the city on Saturday. He said that the main Christmas tree will be lit first, and then the rest of the city will follow.
The mayor also mentioned that work on decorating Rustaveli Avenue with illuminations has not started yet. However, he assured the public that it will be done soon.
