Giorgi Gakharia Attacked in Batumi
The leader of the “Gakharia for Georgia” party, Giorgi Gakharia, was attacked in Batumi. He was taken to a clinic by ambulance.
Doctors say Mr. Gakharia has a broken nose and a concussion. His condition is stable. He left the clinic on his own.
A doctor spoke about Mr. Gakharia’s treatment at the clinic. She said he was brought in early this morning after being physically attacked. Tests were done to check his condition, and it was found that he had a broken nose and a concussion.
Mr. Gakharia was attacked at the Sheraton Hotel in Batumi. His party says the Georgian Dream party is responsible for the attack.
