**China Calls for Ceasefire in Ukraine**
A Chinese diplomat has called for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine. The country wants all parties to work together towards a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
The US recently allowed Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russian military targets. China’s foreign ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, said that this move aligns with the interests of all parties involved. He emphasized that an early ceasefire and political solution would benefit everyone.
China has always supported efforts to resolve conflicts peacefully. The diplomat stated that at this stage, the priority is to calm down the situation as soon as possible. However, China remains neutral in the conflict.
**No Lethal Weapons Supplied**
The Chinese government stressed that it has not provided lethal weapons to any party involved in the conflict. Lin Jian also urged other countries to be cautious and avoid making unfounded accusations against China.
Earlier reports suggested that Beijing was helping Russia by supplying dual-use goods, which are items that can have both civilian and military uses. This led to concerns within the European Union about imposing sanctions on China.
**Reported Development of Long-Range Drones**
A report from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung stated that Russia had launched a program in China to develop long-range attack drones for use against Ukraine. The company involved, IEMZ Kupol, has designed and tested a drone model called Harpy-3.
China’s involvement with Russia has raised concerns about the country’s neutrality in the conflict.
