**Czech President Visits Ukraine Amid Ongoing Conflict**
Czech President Petr Pavel arrived in Kyiv on March 21, according to a statement from the Office of the President of the Czech Republic. During his two-day visit, he plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
**Attack on Odesa**
Before arriving in Kyiv, Pavel visited Odesa, where he met with Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba. However, their meeting was disrupted by a drone attack launched by Russia. Three people were injured, and civilian infrastructure was damaged. Kuleba condemned the attack, saying it showed Russia’s “crimes against Ukraine.”
**Security Talks**
Pavel and Kuleba discussed maritime security, post-war reconstruction, and community development during their meeting in Odesa. They also talked about the need for demining efforts, as Russia has fired over 450 missiles at Ukraine’s port infrastructure since summer 2023.
**International Efforts to End War**
In other news, French President Emmanuel Macron is hosting European leaders, including Zelensky, in Paris on March 27 to discuss the peace process in Ukraine. The United States plans to hold indirect talks between Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia to understand each side’s conditions.
