**Parliamentary Commission to Send Badri Japaridze’s Case to Prosecutor‘s Office**
The parliamentary temporary investigative commission is taking action against two leaders of the opposition party “Lelo – Strong Georgia“. The commission, led by Tea Tsulukiani, will send a case against Badri Japaridze to the Prosecutor’s Office. This decision comes after Mamuka Khazaradze, another leader of the same party, was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office earlier.
**Badri Japaridze Missed Commission Session**
The commission’s chairperson, Tea Tsulukiani, stated that Badri Japaridze failed to appear at the commission’s session despite being given multiple warnings. Japaridze was supposed to attend a hearing regarding his alleged involvement in the “United National Movement” government.
**Case Will be Sent by End of Day**
Tsulukiani said that the case will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office by the end of the day, just like in the case of Mamuka Khazaradze. The commission has no other legal options and believes that Japaridze’s actions may constitute a crime under Article 349 of the Criminal Code.
**Background on “Lelo – Strong Georgia” Leaders**
The leaders of “Lelo – Strong Georgia”, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, were summoned to the commission session but did not attend. The commission has been investigating allegations that they were involved in pressure on businesses during the previous government’s time in power.
