European Back Trump After Clash with Zelensky

Some European politicians have shown support for US President Donald Trump after he clashed with Ukrainian President in the Oval Office.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor thanked Trump on social media. He said that Trump “stood bravely for peace” and that even though many people found it difficult to accept, it was still a good thing.

Orban is considered one of the most pro- in Europe. He has opposed sending military aid to Ukraine and has close ties with Vladimir Putin.

‘s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze also showed support for Trump on Facebook. He said that peace in Ukraine could be achieved even without Zelensky’s participation.

Another politician, Tino Chrupalla of Germany’s -right Alternative for Germany party, wrote on social media that Trump was right to cancel talks with Zelensky because the Ukrainian president is not ready for peace.

Chrupalla also suggested that the US and Russia should come to an agreement instead of relying on the EU or Germany as mediators.

The statements from these politicians come as many European leaders have expressed their support for Zelensky, who has been in London for a summit with European leaders.

Russia Launched Drone Attack on Ukraine

In other news, Russia launched 154 drones against Ukraine overnight. The Ukrainian Air Force said that 103 of the drones were shot down, while 51 lost without causing damage.

The strikes targeted central districts of several cities, and crews responded to multiple locations. Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov said that all the attacks occurred in areas where people live.

Ukraine suffered 1,060 over the past day, according to a statement from the Air Force.

US Secretary of State Marco suggested that Zelensky should apologize for his meeting with Trump, saying that the Ukrainian president “overplayed his hand.”

Trump and Vice President JD Vance have accused Zelensky of not being grateful enough for US support throughout the war. However, The Kyiv Independent has compiled instances where Zelensky expressed gratitude to the US and its people.
