Russia Attacks Ukraine with Drones
Russia launched a large-scale attack on 11 regions of Ukraine, mainly in the south and center. The attack used 132 Iranian-made drones.
Ukraine’s air defense systems were active across all targeted areas. The Air Force reported that many drones did not reach their targets. In total, 72 drones failed to hit their marks, while two returned to Russia.
This latest assault comes after a big attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure just a day earlier. On December 13, Russia launched around 290 missiles and drones across multiple regions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least 93 missiles were fired, including some from North Korea. Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted 81 of them. F-16 fighter jets also shot down 11 missiles.
