Ukraine’s Air Force reported in its morning update that it had shot down 31 of the 68 combat drones Russia had launched overnight on October 13.
The aerial assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missiles, electronic warfare units and mobile fire units. The drones were shot down over Kyiv and the oblasts of Poltava Chernihiv Sumy and Cherkasy.
The Air Force reported that Russia also attacked Ukraine using two Iskander M ballistic missiles and 2 Kh-59 cruise missiles. The missiles were aimed at Chernihiv oblast, Sumy oblast, Poltava oblast, and Odesa ablast.
Drone attacks occur every day in Ukraine and affect different regions of the country.
The General Staff of Ukraine‘s Armed Forces announced on October 13 that Russia has lost 668.930 troops since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
