**Opposition Leader Arrested**
Aleko Elisashvili, a leader of the “Strong Georgia” union, was arrested by Ministry of Internal Affairs employees. The arrest took place near the Courtyard Marriott hotel.
According to eyewitnesses, Elisashvili left a meeting of opposition parties calmly and peacefully. However, special forces approached him and used force to take him away.
Tamar Gedevanishvili, spokesperson for the “Citizens” party, described the scene as a sudden provocation by unknown individuals, known as Titushkas. The purpose of this provocation was unclear.
