**Belarus President Seeks Peaceful Resolution to Georgian Conflict**
In a recent address, Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, emphasized his country’s commitment to peaceful coexistence with Georgia. Lukashenko spoke directly to Nikolai Rogashchuk, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Georgia.
**A Message of Peace**
Lukashenko stated that Belarus has never been an opponent of the Georgian people. He expressed his desire for both Ossetians and Abkhazians to live in harmony with Georgians. The President acknowledged that there may be differing opinions on this matter, but stressed that it is ultimately up to the Georgian people to understand and accept this stance.
**Improved Relations**
Lukashenko also noted that relations between Georgia and Belarus have improved. He expressed his gratitude towards the Georgian people for their warm reception of Belarusian citizens. The President highlighted the value placed by Georgians on Belarusian people, as well as a relatively normal attitude towards the country’s leadership.
**Breaking Down Misconceptions**
Lukashenko attributed the negative perception of Belarus in Georgia to “brainwashing.” He suggested that many Georgians view Belarus as opponents or rivals, rather than allies. The President emphasized that this is not an accurate representation of his country’s intentions.
