The assumption of some Georgian politicians that Georgia is progressing on its way to the European Union has no relation to reality. Marge Mardisalu Kahar, the Estonian Ambassador in Georgia, writes about it on her page of X.
“The assumptions made by some Georgian politicians that Georgia is progressing on its way to the European Union are not based in reality. Georgia’s membership in the European Union has been frozen because of Georgia’s democratic backsliding. Mardisalu Kahar wrote that the EU enlargement report yesterday was clear in its message.
